Last week was my birthday around/on Thanksgiving Day. I celebrated with my Grand Scorpio (my grandmother), my Aunt who flew into town, and our family friends. This is my first big birthday celebration since the pandemic. I am so, grateful that our family friends were able to celebrate with me.
I had other family members call me from out of the country to wish and sing to me a Happy Born Day. I have many family members in the Caribbean, which allows me to enjoy the "
Best of Both Worlds" being half Afro American and Caribbean. It was, very interesting explaining to my family in the Caribbean what is Thanksgiving.
